Spencer Brown is the managing editor at Townhall.com where he works alongside an all-star team to deliver conservative commentary and amplify conservative voices in the debates of the day. In addition to covering breaking news, politics, culture, and education, Spencer hosts Townhall VIP live chats with his colleagues to break down the stories behind the news driving the day’s conversations.
Before joining Townhall, Spencer served as the spokesman for Young America’s Foundation. As part of his work for YAF, Spencer frequently traveled to embattled college campuses across the country to handle contentious situations that arose out of the Foundation’s campus lecture program. He also organized successful public relations campaigns to pressure schools that ran afoul of the Constitution and managed communications for YAF’s First Amendment lawsuits, including the group’s landmark wins over UC Berkeley and the University of Florida, among others.
Spencer’s writing has been published by USA TODAY, The Hill, Washington Examiner, and The Federalist, and he has been quoted in the Washington Post, New York Times, San Francisco Chronicle, and Los Angeles Times, among others. Spencer has appeared on Fox & Friends, Varney & Company, Tucker Carlson Tonight, The Ingraham Angle, Your World with Neil Cavuto, Fox News @ Night, Justice With Judge Jeanine and America’s Newsroom.
Spencer is an alumnus of Regent University (’16) and the National Journalism Center (’14) and lives outside Washington, DC in the Free Commonwealth of Virginia.
